DELICES AU FROMAGE1 (17.25 oz) package frozen puff pastry dough, thawed
2 tablespoons chopped chives
1 cup diced Emmenthaler cheese
2 tablespoons imitation bacon bits
2 tablespoons chopped olives
1 egg, lightly beaten
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
On a floured surface, unfold puff pastry rectangles. Lightly roll dough flat to even thickness. Using 9-inch pan as a template, cut out 2 large rounds of dough.
Lightly grease removable bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Set one circle of dough on bottom of pan. Top with chives, cheese, bacon bits, and olives, leaving a 1/2-inch border around edges. Brush border with beaten egg.
Top with second circle of dough, pressing edges to seal. (Pie will look flat in the pan.) With a sharp knife, lightly score top of pie.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes, until pie is puffy and brown. Serve immediately.
